In November 2002, InterHealth Canada entered into a contract with Al-Ghannam Medical Services Company for the development of a new exclusive 80-bed private Women's and Children Hospital in Jabriya, Kuwait City. Royale Hayat Hospital is the first private hospital in Kuwait with an exclusive focus on services for women.

InterHealth Canada's role at the Royale Hayat began 4 years ago during initial hospital planning (design and construction consultation); equipment planning and purchasing. InterHealth Canada acted as the commissioning agent for the hospital, recruiting over 400 staff and opened its doors November 21st 2006, only 10 weeks from building handover. Royale Hayat Hospital was managed and operated by InterHealth Canada for a five year period.
Affiliated organizations that provided assistance and advice on this project include; the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario, a major Canadian peadiatric teaching hospital; and Credit Valley Hospital, a leading community hospital providing extensive maternity service in Toronto Canada.
Royale Hayat Hospital will operate to international standards.
